Graduates can access support from the Careers & Employment Service up to 3 years after completing their studies. As part of our 3 year promise we are hosting Gradventure, a 2 night residential in the Peak District. We care about your success beyond leaving us, and if things aren’t going to plan we can help. Do I have to pay to attend?

No! Gradventure is completely free to attend and will include return transport from Kedleston Road, overnight accommodation for 2 nights and all meals and activities.

When is Gradventure happening?

Gradventure participants will leave from Kedleston Road campus at 10am on Wednesday the 23rd of October and return to Kedleston Road by 2pm on Friday the 25th of October.

What does Gradventure involve?

Gradventure is a 3 day residential made to challenge you and give you an edge over competitors in the job market. The trip will be a mix of interactive career and employability workshops delivered by career experts and real employers from Derby and outdoor adventure activities like high ropes, archery and leap of faith. You’ll have plenty of free time to relax, reflect and network with other graduates and we hope you leave feeling more confident in your ability to pursue your ideal career.

Am I eligible to come to Gradventure?

Gradventure is open to all University of Derby graduates from the last 3 years. If you have completed your studies and are having difficulty finding work, not satisfied in your current role or fancy a career change, Gradventure is for you!

How do I apply for a place on Gradventure?

If you would like to apply to attend Gradventure you will need to complete this application form here. Tell us what you’re currently doing and why you feel you would benefit from attending this trip. The deadline for applications is midnight on the 29th of September and everyone will be notified of the outcome of their application no later than the 4th of October.
